CAPITAL ONE

Capital One hired Dr. Massey to conduct a virtual workshop on tactics for communicating during crises with the Women’s Employee Resource Groups at several financial institutions in the North Eastern United States, including Capital One, American Express, Blackrock, JP Morgan, and UBS, among others. The purpose was to train the attendees on tactics for communicating and influencing others during periods of high stress. Dr. Massey began with an explanation of neuroscience and the human brain’s reaction to stress. As part of the workshop, the more than 100 attendees were given a workplace scenario as they broke out into smaller groups to discuss how they would handle it using the new tools they had just learned. The teams then reported back to the larger group about what they had discussed.
